Our company started in 2015 when founder, Emma, recognised a need while on maternity leave with her first bub in Brisbane, Australia. Brisbane is a subtropical river city with a great outdoor lifestyle. While Emma loved spending time outside with her young family either with the pram or baby carrier, it soon became evident that there was no escape for the little one's skin from the sun's harsh UV radiation. Despite a parents very best intentions to protect young skin, unless the shade or cloth can actually block harmful UV rays, it is ineffective. This lead to the development of the Baby Sun Blanket, an effective UV protective shield for baby's skin against harmful UV rays.
Since our early days, the Sam&Hugo brand has evolved into a vibrant, stylish and unique hat store with our signature collections being the Little Adventurer and The Explorer Sam&Hugo printed straw hats. Look out for them in a park, beach, river or neighbourhood near you.
